What To Expect
Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience. We want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Living Word Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home”! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
When are your services?
Sunday
10a – 11a Worship service, Nursery and Children’s classes
11:15a – 12n Bible Fellowship Groups
Wednesday
6p Worship and Prayer service
What can I expect on my first visit?
There are special parking spaces right in front for all our first time guests. Please feel free to use these and enter the main doors near the Welcome flag. When you come in, bright welcome banners will direct you to the meeting space. Guest Services will meet you and direct you to the nursery and Junior Church space if needed. They can also answer other questions you may have.
Our worship service offers congregational and special music followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor McCourt. This service is one hour in length, and Pastor McCourt tries to end right about noon. After the service, we welcome everyone to stay for light refreshments and fellowship. This is a great way to get to know people at Living Word Baptist Church.
Where do I take my children?
Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child. At the morning service there is a safe, clean, and well- staffed nursery & preschool class for children up to 4-5 years old. For children six years old through fifth grade there is a fun, friendly, and Bible-centered class. These classes are staffed with friendly teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Living Word Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here!
Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?
No. We don’t invite you to Living Word Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest
